This trip was scheduled for April 21-24, 2010. We got to Lower Boyscout Lake on the 21st and during the night it began snowing. It was still snowing on the 22nd. We tried to reach our high camp but ended up turning around in about 2 1/2 feet of new snow. On the 23rd we did some avalanche training then on the 24th we did a 1-day ascent of the Mountaineer's Route. This is the first time we have successfully guided a 1-day climb of Mt. Whitney this early in the year. A big kudos to the group for making the effort to rally on the 24th for a very memorable climb!
